Next week, we will be re-organising the infant reading scheme (more information to follow!) However, this may mean that KS1 reading books won’t be changed until later in the week. If your child’s book needs changing please encourage them to select a book from the class book corner or there are plenty of e-books online (see link below.) Thank you in advance, for your patience.
Please see the link below for a brief summary of the spelling requirements for the KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum. Spelling and phonics lessons are taught across the school each week. The document includes the spelling rules and example words – which may be useful to use to support spelling at home.
Visit the website below for suggested reading lists for Years 3 – 6. The book lists contain a range of suitable titles for all abilities within different age groups. The website also contains links to nominated books for recognised literature awards which may help you to decide which book to read next!
Choosing a book is an adventure in itself … so why not inspire a young bookworm to choose their next favourite book from a pile as tall as them?
One lucky young reader will receive a selection of age-appropriate bookish delights from the home of David Walliams, Michael Morpurgo and Holly Smale.
To enter to win this spectacular prize, simply fill in the form on the website below. This competition will end on Thursday 2nd June 2016. Please see our terms and conditions here.
