The Big Bang Fair @ Carshalton College!

Today was another fantastic day for the Avenue/Overton Grange STEMinions club!
Students from both schools displayed their projects that they have been working on in our weekly club and were visited by TWO sets of judges, who are key players in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

Even though it was a pretty daunting prospect, all of the Avenue children did us proud!! They spoke confidently about their projects and the elements of STEM that were involved in them and fielded some challenging questions from the (at times very serious) judges!!

Miss Banda (from Overton) and myself, were incredibly proud of all of the children for representing the schools so well and for sharing their passion for STEM.
A special congratulations must go to Zack and Max, who seriously impressed the Chief Judge herself and came top of the Junior category for their presentation about the nature surrounding Overton Grange.

Thank you to Miss Banda and the Overton STEM ambassadors (who are AWESOME!) for running the club and to Mrs Collins, Mrs Sandiford, Mrs Giddings and Mrs Lambert for walking the children over to Overton each week. These fantastic opportunities cannot happen without the extra commitment and support that everyone involved gives.

Well done to all involved – you are all superstar STEMinions!!!

Mrs Wright 🙂
