Road Safety Week w.c. 19th November 2018

Next week is National Road Safety Week. This year the focus is how to keep safe on the roads as a cyclist. Below is the assembly we will share with the children and some activities that they might do in class as part of the assembly time.

On Friday 23rd November we will run a ‘Be Bright Be Seen’ activity. As part of this children who cycle or scoot that morning into school will be awarded with a yellow, reflector band. These have been donated by Sutton Council so we do have a limited supply (when they’re gone, they’re gone). Miss Rubey (Infant Scooter Den) and Mr Haines (Junior Scooter Pods) will be handing them out to the lucky participants. To summarise:

  • Friday 23rd November only
  • Scoot or cycle (only)
  • Maximum 1 per child
  • First come, first served
  • Infants approach Miss Rubey by the Scooter Shed
  • Juniors approach Mr Haines by the Scooter Pods
